You can bring back those memories while raising money in support
of the Houston Area Urban League’s Equal Opportunity Day. Even
better; you can accomplish that on the golf course in the company of
some of the greatest names to ever play sports. Imagine yourself
teeing off with legends of the sports world: former Major League
heroes, NBA All-Stars and NFL Pro-Bowlers; a roster of superstars
who represent a broad spectrum of champions of the game.
Join Houston Area Urban League supporters in a fun-filled day of
golf with some favorite sports stars of yesterday. Houston’s own
Jimmy “The Toy Cannon” Wynn is host to this 3rd Annual Event.
Bobby Bell, Elvin Bethea, Jim "Mudcat"
Grant, Ferguson Jenkins, Juan Marichal and many others. With this kind of a line-up,
it is easy to see why we call them “Legends."
Activities include a pre-event reception (draw party on 6/24),
lunch, round of golf, post-tournament award ceremony and sports
memorabilia auction.
